Message Description
AXISINVALID FOR G24/G25 The programmed axis was notAMPedforsoftwarevelocityloop operation, and can not be used
in a G24 or G25 block. To usethesefeaturestheaxisprogrammedmustbeconfiguredfor
tachless operation(orbe a digital servo).
AXISISHARD STOPPED, CANT ADJUST SERVO T he torque limitof theservo cannotbe adjusted because, eitherthe axisisinahard--stopped
state, or someother axison the sameservo card is in a hard--stopped state.
AXISMODULE POWER FAULT Thecurrent throughthepower outputtransistors is monitored. Ifthecurrentexceedsafixed
level(greater than 300% ofcontrollerrating)thisfaultwill appear. Typicalcauses areashorted
lead,motormalfunction,ormalfunctioningpower IGBTs.
AXISMODULEOVER CURRENT One oftheaxis modulesof your1394drivehas been requestedto providetoomuch current.
This istypically causedbyAccel/Decel command fromtheCNCisrequiring peak currentforan
excessive amountoftime,the machinefrictionor inertial/viscous load isexcessive,themotor
hasbeenimproperly sized,a shortcircuitexistsacrossthe driveoutputterminals,logicsupply
circuits have malfunctioned,or ACinputis incorrectly wired.
AXISMODULEBUSSVOLTAGELOSS TheDCbus supply waslostto theaxis module. Check sliderconnections/termination stripor
therecould be a blown link fuse.
AXISMODULE OVER TEMP The 1394 containsa thermalsensor whichsensestheinternalambienttemperature. Causes
could be:thatthecabinetambienttemperature is above rating. The machinedutycycle
requiresan RMScurrentexceeding thecontinuousrati ng of thecontroller. The airflow accessto
the1394 is limitedorblocked. Thisdoesnot necessarilyindicatea motorovertemperature.
Motorovertemperture sensorsshould be wired directlyintothe E-Stopstring.
AXIS MOVERCONFLICT WITH G16.3/G16.4 You have requestedaPALaxis moverfunctionon an angled wheel grinder. You can not usethe
PALaxismoverinoneofthe angled wheel modesunless the PALaxis moverhas controlof
boththe axial and thewheelaxes.
AXISNAME DUPLICATE Two or moreaxeshave been assigned thesame name in AMP.
AXISNOT IN PROCESS You attempted toread/writea paramacroparameterfor an axisthatisnotcurrentlyin the
processrequestingthe data. To accessparamacroparameterdata foran axis, thataxismust
be in theprocessmaking therequest.
AXISPOSITIONINCORRECT Usingthe mid-startprogramfunction,you have searchedto a blockthat doesnotcreatethe
programmed contourifstarted fromyourcurrentaxis position. Beawarethe mid-start operation
mayhave searchedthru a offsetoperationthatisnotreadily apparentto determineyour axis
position. The mid-start operationis aborted. You mustre-performthemid-startoperation and
eitherpositiontheaxes tothe correctaxisposition, or usethe{MOVE& EXIT}softkeytofindthe
correct axisposition.
AXISSELECT NOT ALLOWED The{AXIS SELECT } softkey was pressedwhen no axis selectoptionisavailable. Axisselectis
only available on large screensand normal character size screen for systemsthatcontainmore
then9axestotal or dual processsystems with more than8 axes in a process. Itisnotavailable
when the small screen (showing all system AMPed axes) is being viewed.
AXISTYPE-POSITION LOOP ERROR In patchAMP, an axiswasassigned a positionloop typethatis illegal forthe axistype assigned
tothataxis.

BACKUP VERSION OF AMP WAS COPIED TO RAM The AMPin RAM waserased(battery backup failed)or corrupted, sothecontrolautomatically
copiedtheversion ofAMPin backupmemoryi nto RAMmemory. (The controlstoresAMP in
backup,butworksfromthe copyofAMPinRAMmemory.)
BADDAC MONITORPATCH AMPENTRY An invalid valuewasentered intopatch AMPparameter#86 or #87. Eitherparameterallows
theaxes tobemonitoredthrough theservo module(DAC)analog output. Seedocumentation
providedby Allen-Bradleyon patchAMP, or contactAllen-Bradleycustomersupportservice.
BAD FIRST POCKET BLOCK When performing an irregular pocket cycle, the firstpocket block should be awayfromthe
pocketstart/end corner, not towardit. The moveto thestart/end corner isgenerated basedon
thecoordinatesprogrammedin the pocketdefinitionblockitself.
BAD PAL PROM One ofthePAL PROMchips(plugged intothemain processorboard)has failed orisnot
plugged in properly.
